1-to-1 Online Dog Behaviour Support, Wherever You Are

When everyday life with your dog feels difficult, it can be hard to know what to try next. You do not have to work it out alone, and your dog does not need to be placed under additional pressure for us to understand what is happening.

I’m Bethany Bell, a qualified dog behaviourist and founder of Canine Dialogue Dynamics. Through private online sessions, I’ll help you understand your dog’s communication, emotional needs and individual responses, before developing practical guidance that fits naturally into your everyday life.

We can work together through live video calls, detailed conversations and footage of your dog in the situations where support is needed. This allows us to see the wider picture while your dog remains in the comfort of their familiar environment.

What I can help you and your dog with

You might be looking for support with:

  • Barking and lunging at other dogs, people or passing traffic.

  • Fear or uncertainty around visitors, unfamiliar places or everyday situations.

  • Difficulty settling, becoming overwhelmed or struggling to unwind after excitement.

  • Guarding food, toys or resting places, leaving you unsure how to respond.

  • Tension between dogs at home, affecting how comfortably they share their space.

You do not need to know why it is happening before asking for help. We start by understanding your dog, their experiences and what everyday life is like for you both.

Practical support for everyday life together

Our work takes place through private video calls, while your dog remains in the environment where they feel most comfortable. Together, we choose manageable starting points, with your dog’s wellbeing and everyone’s safety guiding what we do.

I’ll help you recognise your dog’s communication and use everyday language to give them information, offer meaningful choices and support their understanding. We can review recorded footage, talk through real situations and, where appropriate, observe your dog during the call, so you feel confident about what to continue between sessions.

CDD is a relationship-led approach that does not use treats to shape behaviour, corrections or force. There is no expectation that you or your dog should get everything right straight away. We take time to observe, explain and adjust things together.

What your online consultation includes

Our first appointment gives us time to explore what is happening, understand your dog’s needs and identify practical starting points. You can ask questions, share relevant footage and see how the CDD approach can support your individual situation.

Your consultation includes:

• Review of your completed questionnaire before we meet.

• A detailed exploration of your dog’s history, everyday life and the situations in which you need help.

• Review and discussion of relevant video footage where available.

• Practical guidance and manageable first steps tailored to you and your dog.

• A written summary of the priorities discussed, alongside relevant learning resources selected for your situation.

The appointment takes place through Zoom and usually lasts approximately 90 minutes. If we occasionally need a little longer, there is no additional charge.

Prefer to speak with me first? You’re welcome to arrange a free introductory call. We can discuss what you’re looking for and whether online support feels right for you.

Follow-up support

If you would like continued support after your consultation, you can choose from three follow-up options. We’ll discuss what would be most useful for you and your dog before you decide.

Each session lasts up to 60 minutes and takes place through Zoom. We can review progress, discuss new situations, examine video footage and adapt the guidance as your dog’s understanding and circumstances develop.

All three options include personalised guidance and between-session support. Your initial online consultation is booked separately at £135 and is not included in these packages.

How online support works

Online sessions allow us to work together wherever you live, without requiring your dog to travel or cope with an unfamiliar environment.

Appointments take place privately through Zoom using a computer, tablet or phone. Your dog does not need to remain on camera or participate throughout the appointment. They are free to move around, rest or leave the space whenever they choose.

Where useful, you can send footage before your appointment so that we can examine your dog’s communication and responses in everyday situations. Please only film when it is safe and natural to do so. There is never any need to deliberately recreate a stressful situation for the camera.

Before each appointment, you’ll receive a link to join the call. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, I can help you get started.

Questions before you book

Do I need to know anything about CDD before we meet?

No. I’ll explain the approach as we work together, using examples relevant to your dog. You do not need to study beforehand or buy a course to get started.

Yes. Much of our work involves understanding your dog’s communication, history, environment and everyday experiences. Video footage and detailed discussion can often provide valuable information without asking your dog to cope with an unfamiliar person or setting. If I believe that an in-person or veterinary assessment would be more appropriate, I will tell you.

No. Your dog is welcome to appear naturally, but they do not need to remain beside you or interact with the camera. They can move around, rest or leave the space. We can also use previously recorded footage to explore situations that cannot be observed safely or naturally during the call.

You’ll need a computer, tablet or phone with a reliable internet connection and access to Zoom. Before the appointment, I’ll send you a link to join the call. A quiet place where we can speak comfortably is helpful, and you are welcome to send relevant video footage beforehand.

This depends on your dog’s needs, the situations you would like help with and the level of ongoing support that feels right for you. We’ll discuss the three, six and ten-session options during your consultation, but there is no pressure to choose a package immediately.

The three-session package is paid in full when booked. The six-session package can be paid in full or in two monthly instalments of £240. The ten-session package can be paid in full or in two monthly instalments of £375. Your initial online consultation is booked and paid for separately.

The six-session package includes one complimentary online CDD course selected to support your dog’s individual needs. The ten-session package includes one relevant online course and three months of Learning Circle membership. The three-session package includes selected written and video resources, but not a complete course.
